Glen Island Beach is a stunning island connected to New Rochelle by a drawbridge. Croton Point Park is the only beach that is open year round and continuously offers events and activities. The park itself is deeply rich in natural history and serves as the site of many remarkable wine cellars that are often thought to be the oldest in New York State. Croton Point Park is also an ideal spot for picnics, hiking and fishing.

Golfers particularly enjoy the six different public golf courses. Hudson Hills is often ranked as Westchester County's premier golf course, which stretches out over 7,000 yards where players are treated to a spectacular view of the countryside. Maple Moor Golf Course is known as Westchester's first golf course, which was designed by architect Tom Winton and opened in 1927. Maple Moor is named after the number of maple trees that decorate the course and is known for the tricky water hazards on six holes. Mohansic Golf Course is known as the most challenging of all the local courses, with many tight holes and uphill, downhill and side hill shots. In addition, there are several fine Country Clubs with golf courses in Westchester, including Pelham's own Pelham Country Club.
